Catching big fish with Tenkara is fun!!! I use the Tenkara USA Amago when I know I am going to be hooking into trout over 20". I also use 4X tippet for a little extra strength. I have also used the Tenkara USA Ito for larger fish, but it just has to much action in the rod and isn't powerful enough to fight bigger fish. So the Amago is the way to go. Tight lines!!!
